Do you remember your first day of school? The excitement you felt showing off your new cloths, cool sneakers, and backpack? Well, that is not what it is like for Shaquille and the 25,000 kids we serve each year. S For more than 44 years, we have provided new school uniforms and outfits, backpacks and school supplies to children who desperately need them. The desire to meet that need is the inspiration behind our innovative Student Attire fort Education (SAFE) matching grant program and online retail store. More than 9,300 kids benefit from our annual Distribution thanks to the generous contributions of Intel and many other corporate, civic, and individual donors.
What’s inside the box??
Inside this plain white box is a backpack filled with dozens of school supplies. It's the last stop during a day filled with selecting their very own school outfits, backpacks, sneakers and many other items. For many of the kids we serve, these are the first new set of school clothes.
